Who is Tsubota Pearl?
Tsubota Pearl is a maker of precision lighters and accessories with decades of history behind them. They're not a mass manufacturer — they're a craft workshop that has spent years refining the mechanisms, materials and high standard of finishing. Their work sits in the same tradition as other Japanese makers (think: knives, ceramics, matcha) who believe that everyday objects deserve to be made properly.
They're not widely known outside of the people who seek them out — which is part of the point. Tsubota Pearl doesn't make lighters for the petrol station purchaser. They make lighters for people who have decided that the things they use every day should not only be functional but beautiful and enjoyable to use, too.

The Hard Edge Lighter — $65 AUD
Our personal favourite from the range. The clear colourway has a transparent polycarbonate shell that puts the entire steel mechanism on display — the precision engineering is the design feature. The silver colourway is all brushed steel: solid, weighty and industrial. At 60 × 35 × 15mm it fits perfectly in your pocket when you’re on the go, or out on display when you’re at home.
The Sigaretta Lighter — $64 AUD
Slim, cylindrical and pen-like — "sigaretta" is Italian for cigarette, and the form factor earns the name. At 85mm long and just 9mm across, it disappears into a pocket and reappears as a statement. Available in gold, silver, rose gold and black.
The Queue Metal Lighter — $62 AUD
The same slim dimensions as the Sigaretta but with a square 8 × 8mm cross-section. Cleaner edges, sharper lines, more geometric and architectural. Available in silver, gold and black.
Flint Replacement Pack — $10 AUD
The Sigaretta and Queue models use a micro-wheel mechanism that pairs perfectly with Tsubota Pearl's own replacement flints. Of course, the Hard Edge is also compatible.
